Efficiency Works is a regional energy-efficiency program serving qualifying residential electric customers of Fort Collins Utilities, Loveland Utilities, Longmont Power & Communications and Estes Park Power & Communications. Rebates are available for qualifying heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, insulation, air sealing and other home-efficiency improvements.
Who Can Benefit
Efficiency Works residential rebates are available to qualifying homeowners and residential rental properties within participating utility service areas. Renters may participate in certain programs with property-owner approval. Multifamily properties with five or more units may qualify through the separate Efficiency Works Multifamily program.
A&O Heating and Air Conditioning is an approved trade partner and participating contractor with Efficiency Works and other utility companies serving northern Colorado.

2026 Efficiency Works HVAC & Electrification Base Rebates (Additional Bonuses May Apply)
Requirements vary by equipment type and performance tier. Retrofit rebates require installation by a listed Efficiency Works service provider, and applications must be submitted within 45 days of project completion. Equipment and installations must meet current Efficiency Works program specifications.
Get an Additional $2,000 Heat Pump + Envelope Bundle Bonus
Eligible Efficiency Works customers may receive an additional $2,000 bonus when a qualifying heat pump installation is combined with an eligible home-envelope improvement. The qualifying projects must meet current Efficiency Works program requirements and be completed within the required program timeframe.
The $2,000 bundle bonus is in addition to eligible base rebates, making combined heat pump and home-efficiency projects one of the best opportunities to maximize your Efficiency Works savings.
Income-Qualified Assistance Through CARE
Income-qualified households may qualify for zero-cost or deeply subsidized home energy improvements through the Colorado Affordable Residential Energy (CARE) program.
Depending on eligibility and the home's needs, CARE may provide qualifying improvements at little or no cost, including:

CARE goes beyond a traditional rebate and may cover most or all of the cost of eligible improvements.
CARE Eligibility
Eligibility is generally based on household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI), or participation in certain qualifying assistance programs such as SNAP, WIC, LEAP or TANF. Additional qualifying programs may apply.
Customers must also receive residential electric service from a participating Efficiency Works utility.
