Efficiency Works is a regional rebate program serving Fort Collins, Loveland, Longmont, and Estes Park, designed to help homeowners reduce energy costs and upgrade to high-efficiency, electric-powered systems. The program focuses on home electrification, energy efficiency, and whole-home performance improvements—making it one of the most valuable rebate opportunities available in Northern Colorado.

QUALIFYING EQUIPMENT

What equipment qualifies for Efficiency Works rebates

Five categories of equipment qualify. The primary rebates go HVAC systems

  1. HVAC including air-source heat pumps, ductless mini-split heat pumps, and geothermal heat pumps

  2. Water heaters such as heat pump water heaters with electric heat pump technology by Energy Star

  3. Insulation & air sealing (weatherization) which include: air sealing, duct sealing, attic insulation, wall insulation, floor insulation, crawlspace/basement insulation and rim joist insulation.

Efficiency Works rebates apply for residents of Fort Collins, Loveland, Longmont or Estes Park. Rebates only available if participating contractor provides the work.  All equipment must meet Energy Star, AHRI program efficiency standards.

The Bottom Line for Efficiency Works Rebates

Efficiency Works offers moderate base rebates (often $1,000–$2,000 for HVAC and smaller fixed amounts for insulation and sealing), but the real value comes from stacking incentives, especially the $2,000 bundle bonus and potential double rebates, making it one of the most powerful programs for full home efficiency upgrades in Northern Colorado.
