Save up to $3,400 with Atmos Energy SmartChoice Rebates
Colorado Atmos Energy residential customers can get cash back and free home benefits through the SmartChoice Energy Efficiency Rebates program. Incentives include rebates onhigh-efficiency natural gas furnaces and boilers, insulation and air-sealing measures, tankless and high-efficiency water heaters, and smart or programmable thermostats-- plus furnace tune-up credits to help lower heating costs.
The program also offers free home energy assessments and energy & water saving kits to help you reduce energy use and monthly bills. Rebates require installation at your Atmos-served address and must be submitted within program guidelines and funding limits.

The Bottom Line for Atmos Rebates
Atmos Energy's Colorado SmartChoice program can significantly reduce the cost of upgrading high-efficiency natural gas equipment. Qualifying residential customers may receive up to $3,000 toward a high-efficiency natural gas furnace, up to $3,400 toward a qualifying boiler, up to $800 for a tankless water heater and up to $700 for a storage water heater. Rebates are also available for qualifying thermostats, insulation, air sealing and other energy-efficiency improvements.

Important: Atmos rebate applications must generally be submitted within 60 days of the qualifying installation or service. Rebates are available while program funding lasts.
What equipment qualifies for Atmos rebates
Atmos Energy offers rebates across several categories of qualifying natural gas equipment and home-efficiency improvements.

Heating systems (natural gas) including High-efficiency natural gas furnace (>95% AFUE and Natural gas boilers (>92% AFUE)

Water heaters (natural gas) Tankless gas water heater (>95% UEF) and Storage (tank) gas water heater (>86% UEF, typically <55 gallons)

Thermostats Qualifying smart thermostats may receive a $100 rebate, and qualifying programmable thermostats may receive $25, subject to program requirements.

Maintenance & controls including furnace tune-ups, boiler tune-ups and boiler reset controls.

Insulation & air sealing (weatherization) which include: air sealing, duct sealing, attic insulation, wall insulation, floor insulation, crawlspace/basement insulation and rim joist insulation.

Furnace & Boiler Maintenance — Up to $50 Atmos Energy also offers rebates on qualifying furnace and boiler maintenance performed by a licensed contractor.
Atmos rebates apply to gas heating systems, gas water heaters, thermostats, and home efficiency upgrades (insulation/sealing)—but not electric HVAC or cooling-only systems.
