Colorado Atmos Energy residential customers can get cash back and free home benefits through the SmartChoice Energy Efficiency Rebates program. Incentives include rebates onhigh-efficiency natural gas furnaces and boilers, insulation and air-sealing measures, tankless and high-efficiency water heaters, and smart or programmable thermostats-- plus furnace tune-up credits to help lower heating costs.
The program also offers free home energy assessments and energy & water saving kits to help you reduce energy use and monthly bills. Rebates require installation at your Atmos-served address and must be submitted within program guidelines and funding limits.

What equipment qualifies for Atmos rebates
Five categories of equipment qualify. The primary rebates go HVAC systems

Heating systems (natural gas) including High -0efficiency natural gas furnace (>95% AFUE and Natural gas boilers (>92% AFUE

Water heaters (natural gas) Tankless gas water heater (>95% UEF) and Storage (tank) gas water heater (>86% UEF, typically <55 gallons)

Thermostats including: Smart thermostat (with automatic scheduling) or programmable thermostats (ENERGY STAR®)

Maintenance & controls including furnace tune-ups, boiler tune-ups and boiler reset controls.

Insulation & air sealing (weatherization) which include: air sealing, duct sealing, attic insulation, wall insulation, floor insulation, crawlspace/basement insulation and rim joist insulation.
Atmos rebates apply to gas heating systems, gas water heaters, thermostats, and home efficiency upgrades (insulation/sealing)—but not electric HVAC or cooling-only systems.
